May 2018 Update

12/05/2018
Social Media can be a great way of finding out about photographic opportunities. Last week one of the local lifeboat stations which I 'follow' posted a message about their training evening and boat launch. So I headed down to Shoreham, found a good location and waited in sunny but windy conditions. Using my 80-400mm lens managed to capture some great shots. Despite shooting on continuous high burst rate still missed one frame of the boat breaking through the water. Will certainly be going down again - just have to wait for the right weather conditions... I have enormous respect for the lifeboat crews, it was a fine evening but imagine doing this on a dark, wet night in a force 10 storm! The images of the crew transfer boat heading out to the Rampion Wind Farm and of the fishing vessel were a bonus...You can see the images on my 'Latest Work' page.
